Chapter 13 - The Collapse of the Queen

Judge Thornton slammed his gavel down five consecutive times, the loud wooden cracks echoing like gunshots across the chaotic chamber. "Order! Order in this court, or I will clear the gallery immediately!"

Julian Sterling turned on Camilla like a wounded lion, his fists clenching until his knuckles turned pure white. "You monster! You beat my daughter? You terrorized an innocent child in my own home?"

"Julian, darling, listen to me! That audio is an artificial intelligence deepfake fabricated by Elena's hackers!" Camilla shrieked, her aristocratic facade completely disintegrating into hysterical, feral rage. She slammed her manicured hands onto the table, her diamond jewelry rattling against the wood.

"The federal cyber-forensics division has already validated the cryptographic hash of every recording, Mrs. Sterling," Arthur Vance interrupted, stepping directly in front of her table. "The audio was broadcast live over military-grade encrypted cellular frequencies."

Camilla realized that every exit was sealed, every lie exposed, and every ally destroyed. The calculating socialite vanished entirely, replaced by a snarling, unhinged predator whose venomous hatred could no longer be contained.

"So what if I slapped her?" Camilla screamed at the top of her lungs, pointing a trembling, accusing finger at Elena. "That little bastard ruined my wedding day! She took away the respect and admiration that belonged to me!"

"I spent millions of dollars to become the queen of this family, and you expected me to play mommy to a peasant's child?" Camilla shrieked, her eyes bulging with psychotic fury as spectators gasped in utter revulsion. "Elena deserved to suffer! I wanted her to wake up every single morning knowing that her precious brat was living under my thumb, crying for a mother who could never save her!"

The silence that followed her unhinged confession was so complete that the hum of the air conditioning sounded like a jet engine. Camilla stood breathing heavily, her designer hair wild and disheveled, her mask of high-society elegance shattered into a million irrecoverable pieces.

Judge Thornton removed his reading glasses, looking down at Camilla with an expression of cold, absolute judicial condemnation. "In thirty-two years on the bench, I have rarely witnessed a display of human wickedness so thoroughly devoid of a conscience."
