Chapter 10 - The Breaching of Harbor Point

The assault on The Leviathan began with an apocalyptic storm of lead and fire.

The heavy miniguns mounted on the lead Black Hawk opened up, shredding the ship's upper radar towers and machine gun nests in a hail of armor-piercing rounds!

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTT!

Explosions rocked the deck as fuel drums ignited, sending towers of orange flame fifty feet into the night sky over Harbor Point!

Tactical fast-ropes dropped from the hovering helicopters, and Vincent was the first operator to hit the steel deck, his carbine firing in crisp, controlled bursts.

Beside him, Leo and fifty elite operators moved in synchronized close-quarters battle formation, clearing the container barricades with devastating efficiency.

Marco’s mercenary contractors, caught off guard by the military-grade air assault, broke into panicked retreats toward the lower engine rooms.

"Hold the cargo bay! Execute the prisoners!" Marco screamed into his radio, retreating up the steel catwalk toward the ship's crane gantry.

Vincent kicked open the armored cargo hatch, his night-vision optics cutting through the smoke and flashing emergency strobe lights.

He spotted Nora tied to the iron pillar and Lily crying inside the steel cage.

"Covering fire!" Vincent roared, eliminating two armed mercenaries who attempted to flank the cargo door.

Leo’s squad laid down a blistering wall of suppression fire, driving the remaining hostiles back into the bilge corridors.

Vincent sprinted across the blood-slicked deck, his combat knife severing Nora’s ropes in a single, fluid motion.

He pulled her into his arms for a split second, feeling her heart beating frantically against his tactical vest.

"Vincent!" Nora sobbed, clutching his shoulders.

"Lily! Marco took the cage keys up to the gantry!"

Vincent turned to the iron cage, seeing his daughter’s tear-stained face looking through the bars.

"Daddy!" Lily cried out, reaching her tiny hands through the steel slats.

Vincent didn't wait for a key; he jammed the muzzle of his .

45 into the heavy brass padlock and pulled the trigger twice!

BANG! BANG!

The shattered lock fell away, and Vincent ripped the iron door open, scooping Lily into his arms and pressing her small, shaking frame tightly against his neck.

"I’ve got you, Lily," Vincent whispered, his voice trembling with a father’s fierce, protective love.

"Daddy is right here.

You are safe."
