Chapter 11 - The Unsealed Offshore Ledger

Two weeks after the arrests, Ethan and Claire Montgomery met with the United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts in federal chambers.

The federal forensic accounting team had completed the total decryption of Arthur’s offshore banking servers in Cyprus and Zurich.

The recovered files exposed a multi-decade network of corporate bribery, money laundering, and illegal securities manipulation.

“Mr. Thorne, your modified Clause 7 provided the missing cryptographic keys to sixty-two dummy shell companies,” Prosecutor Claire Montgomery announced proudly.

“Every single cent Arthur siphoned from your company over the past five years—totaling sixty-four million dollars—has been fully recovered and frozen under federal restitution orders.”

“What is the legal status of the Thorne Cybersecurity stock, Claire?” Ethan asked, reviewing the certified financial recovery charters.

“The Securities and Exchange Commission has officially dismissed all regulatory inquiries against Thorne Technologies,” Claire confirmed with a bright smile.

“The stock surged twenty-four percent in trading this morning, reaching an all-time high valuation of five hundred and twenty million dollars.”

“And the federal court has formally ratified the transfer of Arthur’s seized assets into the Elena & Toby Vance Family Restitution Trust.”

Ethan signed the final regulatory verification documents, closing the legal book on his family’s thirty-year reign of greed.

The wealth that had been used to torment, manipulate, and starve an innocent household was now legally locked beneath an impenetrable sovereign shield.

Ethan stood up, shaking hands with the federal prosecutors before stepping out of the courthouse into the crisp winter sunshine.

He looked up at the towering skyscrapers of Boston, feeling the dark shadows that had haunted his youth permanently dissolve into the light of truth.
