Part 10: The Eviction of Diane
The Whitmore Group officially declared Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy three weeks later. With their corporate and personal assets completely seized by Aureum Dominion's legal teams to satisfy their massive outstanding debts, the family mansion—the proud, gaudy symbol of their generational wealth—was put up for immediate public auction.
Diane Whitmore stood in the grand foyer where she had once ruled with an iron fist, surrounded by cheap cardboard boxes. Moving men were carrying out the antique French furniture, the crystal chandeliers, and the silver bucket she had used to humiliate Elena.
A sleek, armored black Maybach pulled up to the grand circular driveway outside.
Diane ran to the open double doors, hoping against hope that it was Richard returning with a legal miracle. But it wasn't her husband. It was Elena, stepping gracefully out of the vehicle, flanked by Andre and Mara.
Elena walked up the stone steps, her posture regal and entirely unbothered by the chaos. She looked into the messy, cleared-out foyer.
"Get out of my house, Diane," Elena said calmly.
"Your house?!" Diane hissed, her voice trembling with a toxic mixture of hatred and fear. "This is Whitmore land! My grandfather built this estate!"

"Not anymore," Mara chimed in from behind Elena, holding up a certified digital deed. "Aureum Dominion purchased the entire estate at public auction this morning for pennies on the dollar. The permits have already been approved. This mansion is being completely bulldozed next week to break ground on a state-of-the-art pediatric medical center."
Diane looked down at Elena’s prominently rounded stomach, the realization hitting her like a physical blow to the chest. The legacy she had fought so bitterly and cruelly to protect was being utterly erased from the earth to make room for the child she had despised.
