Chapter 4 - The Chemical Execution

Bianca stepped forward, her face twisted with a mixture of fear and desperate socialite venom.

“You have no right to march in here with armed guards, Clara!” Bianca yelled, trying to regain her footing.

“Damian is the legal owner of this conglomerate! We are legally married!”

“You’re just a bitter, discarded ex-wife trying to stage a pathetic tantrum!”

Marcus Cole stepped forward and unclasped a heavy black carbon-fiber briefcase, pulling out three thick stacks of forensic documents.

He slammed them onto the center of the glass conference table with a resounding thud that silenced the room.

“Let us address the matter of your ‘marriage’ and Mrs. Thorne’s sudden cardiac event,” Marcus announced in a crisp, razor-sharp baritone.

I pointed a single manicured finger at the digital display screen behind the chairman’s podium.

Instantly, the monitors illuminated with high-resolution toxicology graphs, cellular tissue biopsies, and the official laboratory findings from St. Jude’s Presbyterian.

“My aorta did not rupture due to a genetic anomaly, gentlemen of the board,” I said, looking across the faces of the stunned executives.

“For the past nine months, Bianca Caldwell has been personally preparing my daily organic herbal tonic.”

“She claimed it was an exclusive Swiss restorative blend designed to improve my chronic fatigue.”

The screen shifted, revealing a chemical breakdown featuring a synthetic, lipid-soluble cardiac stimulant known as Desmethyl-Digitoxin.

“This compound is an unregulated, black-market cardiotoxin synthesized in Eastern Europe,” I continued, my voice echoing with lethal clarity.

“In small, daily doses, it causes severe arterial inflammation, chronic hypertension, and microscopic tears in the vascular wall.”

“It leaves zero traces in standard metabolic blood panels.”

“The objective was simple: induce a catastrophic aortic dissection that would appear entirely natural on an autopsy table.”

Damian’s jaw dropped, his face turning an ash-gray color that made him look like a walking corpse.

He whipped around to face Bianca, his breathing turning into shallow, panicked gasps.

“Bianca… what did you do?!” Damian choked out.

Bianca’s eyes darted frantically around the room, her hands shaking so violently she dropped her bridal clutch onto the floor.

“It’s a lie! She fabricated those lab results!” Bianca screamed hysterically.

“Damian, she’s framing me! You know how fragile her body has always been!”

Marcus pressed a remote control in his hand.

A high-definition security recording from the private dispensary inside our TriBeCa penthouse illuminated the main screen.

The timestamp was from four days ago.

The camera showed Bianca standing over my herbal tea canister, wearing latex gloves, carefully measuring three drops of a clear liquid from an amber vial before stirring it into the powder.

The audio captured her whispering softly to herself with a sickening smirk:

“Just three more days, you sickly bitch, and the penthouse belongs to me.”

The entire boardroom erupted into a wave of horrified gasps, several directors leaping back from Bianca as if she were a venomous snake.
