Chapter 11 - A Restored Legacy

One year later.
The afternoon sun shone brightly over the lush, green gardens of our ten-acre ancestral estate. The ancient oak trees rustled in the gentle sea breeze, and the grand stone mansion looked vibrant and alive.
On the wide back patio, my mother sat in a comfortable velvet armchair, holding a warm cup of herbal tea. Her hair was neatly styled, her cheeks were full and rosy, and her eyes were bright with joy and peace. The toxins had long since cleared from her system, and under proper medical care, her health and vitality had fully returned.
I walked out onto the terrace carrying a tray of fresh pastries and sat down across from her.
"Here you go, Mom," I smiled, setting a warm sconce on her plate.
My mother took my hand, squeezing it with surprising strength. Her skin was soft, healed from the cruel scars of the past.
"Thank you, Marcus," she said softly, looking out over the sparkling waters of the bay. "For everything. You saved my life, my son."

We sat together in peaceful silence, listening to the birds singing in the trees, watching the sun dip below the horizon—knowing that our home was finally a place of love, safety, and enduring dignity.
